Not a religious stranger anymore but a child of God
My name is Simon, I am 17 years old and from Munich. My parents are believers and raised my older sister, my two younger brothers and me Christian.
At age 13 I didn't want to be the "weird, religious stranger" anymore. Seeking for acceptance I became rebellious, started to smoke cigarettes and hashish and get drunk during weekends. Before long, smoking hashish wasn't a weekend activity anymore. I began to live according to the motto: "A joint in the morning and the day is your friend." Day by day I grew less content. At age 16 I somehow managed to graduate but without any apprenticeship following. There was nothing to do all day.
About us
Our drug rehabiltation center was established in 1977. Since then it's been our desire to see people delivered from their drug addiction. It is our goal as well, to help our "guests" (drug dependents) to build their life on a new foundation, for them not to lose the freedom again that they've just received.
It's both our conviction and experience that faith and a personal relationship to Jesus are the best basis for our lives. One, if not the important scriptuer of our minstry is written in the gospel of John 8:36: "If the son sets you free, you will be free indeed (in reality, continually)."
