What is FCJG
The FCJG (founded in the year 1976) is a community with an emphasis on living together in communes and ministering together. Walter & Irene Heidenreich, who have been the leaders of the FCJG for three decades and everybody else in the community is aiming for one thing: making Jesus known! In the mid-70s, the FCJG (Free Christian Youth Community) was established out of the worldwide Jesus People movement and has become an interdenominational ministry and faith movement. Besides ministry branches in Lüdenscheid, we have also set up permanent ministries in the nations, mainly in Asia. Our foundation is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is displayed in FCJG's community life, as well as the command to meet the needs of people, who are living in poverty and bondage. Our overall experience has been and is: The power of the only living and loving God is still yielding hope for people today.
Our Goals
Caring for the Socially Deprived, Evangelism & MissionsSharing the Gospel of the love of Jesus with people, praying for them, and meeting their needs in word and deed - that's God's command to us! At House Wiedenhof we are providing therapy for former drug addicts followed by an aftercare program. By the power of God they get delivered from their addiction and bondage and get a new chance to re-establish social contacts in society and job.
Children & YouthFor more than 20 years we have been working among and with children and the youth. It's our goal to communicate the Good News of the love of Jesus and Christian values, and help children and young people to mature and develop an own personality. They are hungry for the love of God, to be used by God and - as stated in the bible - to experience the supernatural. From time to time we are running seminars, conferences and events for young people. At these events they get encouraged that there are many of their kind, who endeavour to follow after Jesus wholeheartedly, passionately and dedicated, which works identification and a hunger for even more of God ... as we have seen at STREAM 07 in Dortmund!
Training, Seminars & ConferencesThe ability to move mountains needs training and equipping. Besides the one-year terms at the S.E.M. (School of Evangelism & Missions), we are also running training, seminars and conferences in the course of the year, addressing a variety of topics. Everything is aiming to encourage, strengthen and equip the body of Christ.
Community LifeSingle men and women, married couples and families live together and share everyday life with one another. Jesus is the centre, and we live to follow his command to love one another as he has loved us and love our neighbour as ourselves. This way of life is appealing to many. We often have guests who come around for a chat, to play games with us, have a coffee, help with the work or those who feel lonely and need someone to talk to. Everybody is welcome!
Life is Live (living together with us & getting to know us)
Many Christians are curious to see what our evangelistic lifestyle is like. With Life is live we provide an opportunity for people to live with us for a limited period of time, get to know us and our community as well as sharing in our everyday life.
Saturday Night Worship Service (the different service)
For more than 30 years we have been celebrating Saturday Night Worship Services at the Wiedenhof. Thousands were touched by God, dedicated their lives to him, received physical and inner healing or experienced deliverance. Our Saturday Night Worship Service is interdenominational and everybody is welcome any time!
WorshipGod doesn't owe us anything, but we owe everything to him! His love is unconditional and accessible to anybody, though we actually don't deserve it. Whoever takes advantage of this offer can start all over again in life. As a result gratefulness and love grow deeper in one's life, which finds its expression in various ways - by means of music, in words and deeds. This expression doesn't leave many limits to our creativity.
Unity of the body of Christ
Besides taking care of people in need and proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all the world, the FCJG has been seeking the unity of the body of Christ right from its beginnings. This endeavour has many ways and facets, i.e. meeting in house churches, praying with Christians of other denominations on Prayer Mountain in Lüdenscheid, our engagement in national and international networks, the Evangelical Alliance, etc.
PrayerNothing works without prayer in FCJG! It has always been like that ... and this will remain. Besides internal prayer meetings we have opened the international Prayer Mountain and a house of prayer, which is open day and night to any Christian of any denomination. |
