Jesus is knocking on the door A staff of our Missionhouse saw in a vision one of our neighbors asking: „Why did you not tell us that God is real?“ Strongly moved by this vision she met another member of the Citymission who was introducing a very fetching evangelistic newspaper to her which is filled with life changing stories of different known Christians like Nick Vujicic, Jürgen Klopp (coach of FC Liverpool) and others. Both of them felt that this newspaper would be the perfect medium to reach the neighborhood. 2 weeks ago we started as „two teams“ to distribute the newspaper and to share the gospel to very different people: shopowner, editors of our local newspaper, police, fire brigade. We met many people we won`t usually meet on the street. We are surprised how easily people open their houses and open up their hearts for the gospel. Most of them listen very attentively and ask questions. One man wanted to know how we can know that there is eternal life. Another was asking how it is possible to hear God`s voice. There are plenty of opportunities to pray for healing like slipped discs or personel hardships. Some people even get convicted of sin and they experience that Jesus is real. One alcoholic woman experienced the power of the Holy Spirit in the corridor. She needed to sit down and shared overwhelmed to us: „This is not an effect of alcohol that I need to sit now.“ „Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.“ (Rev. 3:20)
