Hatred Makes You Sick

My name is Robert, and I’m from Poland. In 2012, I came to Germany with the goal of making quick money. From the beginning, I found it difficult to deal with authorities and to get along with people. My relationships were marked by distrust and hostility. In early 2024, I entered the Wiedenhof due to addiction problems. After a few weeks, I developed severe back pain and couldn’t take a step without crutches. However, the doctor couldn’t find anything wrong. Then, the Holy Spirit revealed the cause to me: I hated the German people. This hatred had been instilled in me since childhood – my grandparents had told me what German soldiers did to them, and I wanted revenge. One day, I swore to myself that I would hate Germans forever.
At the Wiedenhof, Jesus showed me that my hatred was the reason for my back pain. More than a thousand kilometers away from my birthplace, somewhere in the middle of Germany, I experienced love, care, comfort, protection, and help in recovering from addiction – through the grandchildren of the people I had hated so much! Jesus melted the ice in my heart and removed the hatred. With forgiveness came repentance, and when I confessed everything to the FCJG family, I experienced a freedom and joy that is hard to describe. My back pain has also completely disappeared since then.
