As staff and volunteers of FCJG Inner City Mission we regard it vital to share our lives. At the Visionhouse we are living together in a flat-sharing and evangelistic community consisting of 10 adults and four children. What does our life look like? We are getting together for devotions and family nights, share our hearts with and are transparent and real before one another including all strength and weaknesses, we encourage one another by the power of the Holy Spirit and we seek God’s face and his word over our town. All of us are very different, however, everyone has a burning heart for people to get saved: if it’s migrants, people from fringe groups, children, youth, Germans ... it’s our hearts’ desire for them to encounter and experience the love of God!
Upon the prompting of the Holy Spirit we are going to the streets to worship and to pray for our town. The presence of God spreads in public squares, we preach the Gospel – sometimes going out two-by-two, in small groups or with the FCJG Community – and people open their hearts for Jesus. We invite them into our house – for meals, fellowship, bible studies ... We laugh and cry together. Another time our guests become the chefs and we are enjoying international cuisine, or we help them to learn German. Our house is a light in the city and people in need find an open ear and an open door with us.
